What does trip Include?
The trip includes four nights and three full days at Selva Negra, a fully sustainable coffee farm located in the highlands of Nicaragua. The trip will be guided by Steve or Heddy, JavaVino/Beanealogy owners and daughter of Selva Negra owners. The third day/4th night includes a side trip to the city of Granada before returning to Managua for the flight out. You will see the entire life cycle of coffee on this trip from picking, wet milling, dry milling, processing, sorting, storage, roasting and yes...some drinking too! Tours of the farm will be guided by Selva Negra owners (Heddy's folks) and conversation sessions (with translations) will be held with foremen and workers of the farm. This is a very neat opportunity for us to share what our lives as coffee farmers is like and a great opportunity for you to visit and learn about the farming side of this very exciting coffee-industry.
